Match Your Bill of Materials to TACTRAC Database
Match part numbers from your manufacturer lists and/or Bill of Materials (BOMs) to the TACTRAC database. Import entire lists or complete BOMs in a variety of supported formats, including flat files and fully indentured files, or user defined formats such as .cvs, .xls, or .txt files. For each matched component, users can access manufacturer availability data and alternative part numbers. In addition, TACTRAC enables users to track usage of parts across BOMs.
TACTRAC helps you stay on top of changing manufacturer information with a variety of alert capabilities:
- Generate reports providing manufacturer availability status changes
- Receive email alerts detailing possible effects on BOM components

Online Obsolescence Management
TACTRAC COMET provides an online, hosted solution for managing obsolescence of BOM components. Component engineers and other professionals facing obsolescence challenges can leverage the power of TACTRAC COMET to:
- Analyze the impact of obsolescence on BOM components
- Quickly identify suitable replacement parts
Import BOMs and automatically match part numbers and manufacturers against the extensive TACTRAC database. If an exact match is not found, TACTRAC will provide possible matches. Users can utilize this information to adjust BOMs to include updated part numbers or manufacturer information. Critical part and manufacturer information can be exported from TACTRAC COMET in a variety of formats for use in reporting or in internal systems.

TACTRAC Component Look-Up
Use TACTRAC Component Look-Up to search the TACTRAC database. Access critical component information from TACTRAC by searching on specific manufacturer part numbers, generic part numbers, or characteristics of parts. Search results include access to manufacturer datasheets and links to manufacturer websites.
With TACTRAC Component Look-Up, users can quickly access vital information about components from many categories, including:
- Commercial level microcircuits
- Industrial grade microcircuits
- Commercial grade transistors and diodes
- QPL/QML classifications for integrated circuits
- Mil-Std-19500 transistors and diodes, as well as commercial equivalents
- Mil-Std-883 integrated circuits, as well as commercial, industrial and MTO-level equivalents
