Siemens PLM Software announced immediate availability of new releases of four of its D-Cubed component software products.
Version 37.0 of 3D dimensional constraint manager (3D DCM), assembly engineering manager (AEM), collision detection manager (CDM) and hidden line manager (HLM) contain enhancements aimed at improving function and performance, Siemens said.
The 3D DCM software component, used in most computer-aided design (CAD) applications, was designed to position parts in assemblies, simulate their kinematic motion and parametrically control the configuration of 3D sketches and the shape of parts.
The 3D DCM is used to support 3D sketching, a tool for mechanical, architectural and industrial designers.
3D sketching supports the creation of new parts and features, the routing of piping, electrical and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and sweep paths and guide curves for surface construction.
Siemens PLM Software is a division of Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D).
