The F211 Fast Ethernet interface card from MEN Mikro Elektronik targets applications in harsh and mobile environments.

It is qualified for the temperature range of -40 to +85 degrees Celsius and is coated against humidity and dust.

The F211 was designed for multiple network controllers such as firewalls, gateways, routers or fieldbus data concentrators based on industrial Ethernet.

The device conforms to the restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS) and complies with Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.3u.

According to MEN, the F211 is a single Eurocard CompactPCI networking controller that needs only one slot on the CompactPCI bus.

It is equipped with four full-duplex/half-duplex channels and supports 10 Base-T and 100 Base-TX physical layers. The channels provide autonegotiation, collision and link detection with a maximum data transfer rate of 200 Mbps per channel.

Having four individual media access controller/Internet protocol (MAC/IP) addresses, the Ethernet interfaces can also be used in redundant mode for high-availability systems by using the lines in parallel.
