EBV Elektronik presented ChameleonARM, a reference platform for the LPC23xx product line from NXP. ChameleonARM combines a board and software in one package.
Developers can use the ChameleonARM reference platform as part of their development process and also receive design documents if required, in order to integrate the board directly into their designs.
In addition to the microcontroller from the LPC23xx line, the board features power over Ethernet (PoE) and other power controllers and voltage references as well as Ethernet physical layer (PHY) and various passive components.
The NXP LPC23xx microcontrollers are aimed at embedded applications such as industrial control systems, process automation, medical devices, office and network applications and home automation.
They are based on a 16/32 b ARM7TDMI-S central processing unit (CPU) and offer controller area network (CAN) and universal serial bus (USB) 2.0 interfaces via Ethernet, secure digital/multimedia card (SD/MMC) interfaces up to inter-integrated circuit (I2C), analog-to-digital/digital-to-analog (AD/DA) transducers, universal asynchronous receiver transmitter (UARTs) and general-purpose input/outputs (GPIOs).
A software demo package with transmission control protocol/Internet protocol (TCP/IP) stack and USB stack is included as part of the delivery for the ChameleonARM reference platform, which supports all component interfaces so that developers can focus on the development of their individual application (software).
The board is fit for use and can support new derivatives of the NXP controller from the LPC23xx product line.
