Avnet Electronics Marketing Distributes ADS Embedded Computer Systems

Applied Data Systems (ADS) and Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas have inked a distribution agreement for the ADS line of application-ready embedded single board computers.
Avnet Electronics Marketing will sell ADS products in North America, providing embedded, mobile and wireless applications for OEMs in the medical device, industrial manufacturing and retail point-of-sale industries.
The offerings will include the Marvell PXA270 and Freescale i.MX31 based options for the Bitsy hand-held platform and the Intel IXP425-based portal.
"[The] ADS leadership presence in ARM-based [advanced RISC machine-based] markets and operating system expertise is a great complement to our existing product line and expands our capabilities to be a complete solution provider, resulting in a compressed time-to-market for our customers," said Phil Gallagher, president of Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas.
